Company Description
DK Plastics was established in 1995 to help meet the growing needs for heavy gauge sheet plastic. We are a successful, family-owned corporation, with our manufacturing facilities headquartered in Archer, Iowa in 1998, we extruded our first HDPE sheets in a new 6000 square foot building. Our original building has grown to 24,000 square feet and now houses our thermoforming and CNC equipment.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Downstream Operator located in Archer, IA. The Downstream Operator will be responsible for monitoring and controlling the operations of downstream processing equipment. Day-to-day tasks include operating machinery, performing quality checks, maintaining production logs, troubleshooting equipment issues, and adhering to safety and operational protocols. The role requires collaboration with other team members to ensure efficient production workflow and maintain product quality.
Qualifications
- Experience in operating machinery and equipment
- Ability to perform quality checks and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Knowledge of safety and operational protocols in a manufacturing setting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to work and meet production deadlines
- Previous experience in the plastics industry is a plus
