Warehouse Associate/Delivery Driver

Under supervision, this employee will perform a variety of activities related to the processing, storage, distribution and moving of supplies, materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for keeping the vehicle clean and safe, accurately recording all deliveries and communicating with customers to solve any problems.

Duties and responsibilities may include, but not be limited to:

• Transport and deliver a variety of supplies and materials using 1/2 ton, single cab truck, utilizing a trailer as needed
• Prepare, pack, load and secure all items for delivery: mail, supplies, materials, equipment, products and furniture
• Store, organize and rotate stock utilizing proper methods and procedures
• Load and unload deliveries containing a variety of supplies, materials and equipment
• Operate delivery truck, forklift, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment
• Perform regular checks on warehouse vehicles for fluid levels, proper tire pressure and vehicle cleanliness, reporting any potential safety issues or service needs
• Maintain storage areas and warehouse equipment in a neat, clean, orderly and safe manner
• Pull supply orders and perform periodic inventory, and recommend items for reorder to maintain necessary materials and supplies on hand
• Other related work as required

Physical abilities:

The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee must be able to:

• Lift, carry, push and/or pull items up to a maximum of 75 pounds with a strength factor of heavy work
• Hear and speak to exchange information in person and on the telephone
• See to read a variety of materials
• Possess dexterity of hands and fingers to operate equipment
• Stand, walk, bend at the waist, kneel and crouch; sit or stand for extended periods of time; climb a step stool or ladder and reach above shoulders

Hazards:

• Working with machinery, tools, electrical and motorized equipment, chemicals, and in temperatures associated with a warehouse environment
• Driving for extended periods of time
• Contact with dissatisfied individuals is possible

Requirements/Credentials:

• Valid Driver License and proof of insurance
• Valid forklift certificate or ability to obtain one within 60 days
• Pass employee entrance evaluation/screening
• Experience operating a delivery vehicle and trailer
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check

Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
