Overview
DKW Communications is looking for an Administrative Assistant to provide support to a government customer at the Washington Navy Yard. This is an onsite position that starts on March 17, 2025.
Duties will include:
· Administrative Support
o Take charge of essential clerical tasks, such as accurate data entry, efficient filing, precise photocopying, and thorough scanning.
o Create and polish correspondence, reports, presentations, and other vital documents to ensure clarity and professionalism.
o Keep physical and digital filing systems organized and up to date, enhancing productivity and accessibility for the DAG team.
· Scheduling and Coordination
o Effectively manage and streamline schedules for the command.
o Proactively arrange meetings, appointments, and conference calls, ensuring the necessary rooms are booked, and materials are prepared for success.
· Communication
o Efficiently manage and streamline the command's schedules.
o Proactively arrange meetings, appointments, and conference calls while securing room bookings and preparing essential materials to ensure smooth operations.
· Office Management
o Monitor and order office supplies to ensure availability.
o Coordinate maintenance and repairs for office equipment as needed.
o Play a key role in fostering an organized and efficient office environment.
· Event and Meeting Support
o Create engaging meeting agendas, meticulously record minutes, and promptly distribute follow-up materials.
o Take the lead in planning and organizing impactful command events and training sessions that foster growth and collaboration.
· Financial Assistance
o Assist in budget preparation and monitoring of expenses.
· Special Projects
o Empower team members by providing thorough research, data collection, and insightful analysis for special projects.
o Embrace new challenges and responsibilities as delegated by the Executive Team to drive command success forward.
Experience/Qualifications
· Possess and maintain a minimum of a Secret level security clearance
· Minimum of 2 years of experience providing intermediate to high level administrative and program analyst support. Examples of this level of work include writing, organizing, and editing high- level briefs, decision and informational papers.
· Bachelor’s degree or 4 years of undergraduate level education leading to such a degree or certificate.
· Ability to demonstrate experience drafting, routing, editing and preparing numerous administrative products simultaneously.
· Expert knowledge in Microsoft PowerPoint - this includes following and creating templates, drafting executive level material, editing slides, and making recommended changes.
· Must be able to demonstrate intermediate to expert knowledge especially Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Strong organizational, prioritization, written and oral communication skills
