Job Description
The Digital Banking Representative is responsible for assisting customers with basic online and mobile functions, including online banking enrollment, password resets, and answering related questions. He or she ensures customers are promptly, courteously and professionally served. The Digital Banking Representative resolves operational problems, monitors online correspondence, and handles difficult customer situations. He or she provides technical support services and ensures software and computer-related issues are resolved. The Digital Banking Representative works with the Digital Banking team to coordinate online banking service activities (to include retail, commercial, mobile, bill payment and telephone banking), with bank-wide goals and objectives. He or she completes required reports and records. The Digital Banking Representative performs the duties of department personnel as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Knowledge of bank operations, policies, and procedures preferred
- Professional appearance, dress, and attitude
- Able to operate related computer applications and business equipment, including computer terminal, telephone, and scanner
Responsibilities
- Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of Retail Online Banking functions
- Ensures information and technical assistance is provided to retail online banking customers in a professional, timely, and accurate manner
- Answers questions regarding online banking, e-statements and bill payment services. Educates users and solves problems for customers. Elicits pertinent information regarding issues, correctly assesses problems, and implements solutions. Refers complex problems to appropriate personnel as necessary
- Ensures accounts are retained, situations are resolved, and good relations maintained
- Ensures retail online customer service functions are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Completes maintenance in order to reset passwords as requested. May also change or assign user codes
- Verify e-statement account set-up and set up accounts as needed
- Ensures required retail online banking and related documents and files are accurate and complete
- Performs department functions as required
- Assumes responsibility for the effective performance of Business Online Banking functions
- Ensures business banking customers are established on Business Online Banking in a professional, timely, and accurate manner
- Answers questions and solves problems for Business Online Banking customers relating to the business online product; including deposits, ACH transactions (payments and direct deposit), funds transfers, online bill payments, and interfacing with accounting software. Elicits pertinent information regarding issues, correctly assesses problems, and implements solutions. Refers complex problems to appropriate personnel as necessary
- Ensures accounts are retained, situations are resolved, and good relations maintained
- Ensures online customer service functions are completed in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Works with branch personnel to quickly resolve customer complaints and issues involving Commercial Online Banking
- Ensures required commercial online banking and related documents and records are accurate and complete
- Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining professional working relations with online banking customers and Bank employees
- Assists customers with questions or problems, and ensures they are appropriately informed
- Resolves questions, requests, and problems promptly and courteously. Follows up on problems to ensure resolution
- Obtains and conveys information as needed
- Maintains the professional reputation of D.L. Evans Bank
- Promotes D.L. Evans Bank at all times
- Serves as a representative for D.L. Evans Bank in the community
