Job Description
The Courier is responsible for performing a variety of delivery duties as well as sorting and related routine clerical functions. He or she efficiently prepares, delivers, and picks up Bank supplies and documents. The Courier promptly completes assigned errands including various inter-office and external business delivery runs.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must have at least one year of customer service experience
- Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications (i.e., Microsoft Office) required
- Good driving record with no traffic violations in the last two years
- Professional appearance, dress, and attitude
- Good communication skills
- Well organized and attentive to detail
Responsibilities
- Checks the status of the D.L. Evans Bank courier vehicle daily, ensures that the vehicle is clean and well maintained, and reports needed repairs and refuels as necessary
- Prepares, picks up, and delivers D.L. Evans Bank supplies and documents and performs a variety of assigned runs including inter-office, FedEx, Post Office, and errands to other businesses
- Performs related clerical functions
- Sorts mail as required
- Ensures that all messenger duties are safely conducted
- Establishes and maintains effective coordination and working relationships with Bank personnel and with management
- Assists personnel as required
- Attends meetings as required
- Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems
- Obtains and conveys information courteously and promptly
- Maintains the professional reputation of D.L. Evans Bank
- Promotes D.L. Evans Bank at all times
- Serves as a representative for D.L. Evans Bank in the community
