Distinguished 20-Attorney Insurance Defense Litigation Law Firm is looking for experienced INSURANCE DEFENSE Litigation Legal Assistant to join their CORAL SPRINGS office (3 days "in office; 2 days remote).
SALARY: $60k to $70k
"Paralegals" who wish to take a step down with their job title/duties to be a "Legal Assistant" for less stress and this listed pay range are encouraged to apply too. But this is a true "Legal Assistant" role that will involve heavy scheduling and calendaring.
Should have experience with EITHER First Party Property Defense or other Insurance Defense Litigation LEGAL ASSISTANT experience. We namely handle the defense of First Party Property cases, namely defending homeowner's claims of property damage from hurricanes, storms, wind, water, fire and other causes.
IDEAL Candidates have 3 years 1st Party Property / Insurance Defense Litigation Legal Assistant / Paralegal experience in FLORIDA***
DUTIES: Preparing notices, issuing subpoenas for records, drafting pleadings/motions, sending out written discovery to all parties, docketing all deadlines, deposition scheduling, e-filing, calendar management for 2 attorneys at a time, setting up Zooms for the attorneys, making travel arrangements for the attorneys, client phone calls, correspondence, and helping attorneys with legal support when they prepare for trials. Must be able to multi-task and be extremely detail-oriented as you'll be supporting senior partners of the firm.
