What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Defense Paralegal (Charlotte / HYBRID) position at DL Group, LLC?
Distinguished, NATIONAL Insurance Defense Litigation Law Firm is looking for experienced Litigation Paralegals to join their CHARLOTTE office (this is a HYBRID REMOTE role***). Should have experience with EITHER Bodily Injury Defense, General Liability Defense and/or First Party Property Defense litigation. We handle the defense of car accidents, trucking accidents, premises liability, and property damage cases throughout North Carolina.
***AFTER 90 DAYS, this is a HYBRID position - you may work from home TWO (2) days per week. For the first 3 months, it will be 100% in-office.
IDEAL Candidates have 5 years Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal experience (Bodily Injury DEFENSE or First Party Property DEFENSE) in NORTH CAROLINA***
DUTIES:
- Draft routine or complex legal documents for review by attorneys.
- Review, organize, and summarize reports and other case materials
- Draft pleadings, subpoenas, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, interrogatories/answers, other legal documents
- Conduct legal research and investigations as needed
- Assist in deposition preparation, pre-trial investigations, trial preparation, including assistance with preparation of witnesses for deposition and/or trial
- Prepare exhibits and other demonstrative evidence for use at trial
- Provide assistance at trial
- Experience and knowledge of the Federal Court CM/ECF system and filings.
- Experienced with use of Summation and/or Eclipse
- Ability to properly capture time and bill according to guidelines
- Provide Support on claim demands/packets to third parties
- Fact Investigation & general claim pursuit
- The candidate must be an experienced timekeeper committed to a minimum of 125 billable hours per month

SALARY $65,000 to $75,000 (only a 37.5 hour work week!)
