We are seeking a talented and creative Designer to join our dynamic team in our Fabrication Drawing and Design Dept for fenestration drafting and design. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in design and engineering principles, with proficiency in various design software. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs and project specifications. Responsibilities:
- Design & develop Architectural/Manufacturing type drawings using Autodesk programs (AutoCAD, REVIT, Inventor) using various 2D & 3D programs to create designs and fabrication drawings for the commercial building industry which includes windows, curtail wall, storefront, and panels for clients nationwide.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, architects, engineers and project managers to conceptualize and develop design solutions for metal commercial fenestration products.
- Conduct design reviews and incorporate feedback into final designs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations throughout the design process.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.
Requirements
- Blueprint reading
- Proficiency in design software including AutoDesk Inventor, Solidworks, CAD and experience in mechanical design is a plus.
- Strong drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to create engaging 2D and 3D animations for presentations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity in design approaches.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- A degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus.
