Assistant Project Manager
DL Jones is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to work alongside our management team to complete various industrial projects. DL Jones is a leading industrial contractor in the Red River Valley and throughout the Midwest. We’re looking for a collaborative and driven Assistant Project Manager who thrives when people are in sync and projects our running not just on time, but within budget and customer satisfaction as well. This position starts immediately.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Estimator on take-offs and estimates.
Assist with developing project budgets, schedules, project controls, and subcontracts.
Coordinate the delivery of construction tools / equipment with Site Supervision and PM
- Work with Project Managers to line up job-site personnel.
Provide technical and administrative support to project manager(s) and to the project team.
Attending project meetings on-site, as required.
Assist review of submittal procedures, RFI’s and monthly invoices.
Coordinate and support the processing and approval of construction change documentation including Change Directives, Change Order, Contractor’s Change Requests, closeout punch-lists, and other documents, as required.

Requirements:
Minimum Education: Associate degree Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, construction documents, technical procedures, and contracts.
Write reports, business correspondence and document project activities.
Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, and customers.
Calculate figures and amounts utilizing basic algebra and geometry.
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel to jobsites. Must have good organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and be a self-starter.
