DLA is looking for a Contract Junior Recruiter to join its internal operations team working directly under our Human Resources Business Partner to recruit talent for the firm's Internal Audit, Accounting Advisory and FVLS practices.
This temporary role can be based in either our Fairfield, NJ corporate headquarters or Midtown Manhattan office, and is guaranteed for 4-5 months full time with the possibility of going permanent.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assisting the Recruitment team with identifying and filling all hiring needs for the firm.
- Collaborating with Recruiters to maintain a consistent, up-to-date understanding of job requirements to guide and fine-tune searches.
- Providing Recruitment team with administrative and operational assistance as needed, including internal file management, recruitment activity documentation, and process improvement implementation
- Attracting suitable candidates through databases, direct messaging, social media, etc.
- Processing inbound applications for open positions.
- Conducting preliminary screens, assessing applicants' knowledge, skills, and experience, and presenting qualified candidates to hiring teams for consideration.
- Guiding qualified candidates through the interview process as the main point of contact, including coordinating and scheduling interviews, collecting and filing interviewer feedback, and confirming next steps with hiring teams.
- Acquiring offer approvals from executive leadership and presenting offers to candidates.
- Assisting with completing paperwork for new hires.
- Promoting the company's reputation and attractiveness as a good employment opportunity.
Knowledge & Skills:
- A Bachelor's degree.
- 2 years experience in HR and/or recruiting.
- Recruiting experience for financial and/or professional services jobs is a must.
- An understanding of the internal audit and accounting advisory fields strongly preferred.
- Candidate sourcing experience using LinkedIn Recruiter required.
- Experience screening and presenting candidates to hiring teams, shepherding candidates through the interview process, and closing candidates on approved offers.
- Experience with recruitment processes and databases.
- Strong organizational skills and administrative acumen.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good interpersonal and decision-making skills.
