Summary
The Marketing & Business Development Content Manager contributes to business development by drafting content used to promote the firm and its practices and sectors. The Content Manager will create pitch and proposal materials, capabilities overviews, slip sheets, and brochures. This role will be instrumental in helping the firm articulate its capabilities and differentiators in a way that smartly reflects the firm’s offerings through client-centric content. The position requires strong writing skills.

This position is remote and can sit in any of our US offices.
Responsibilities
- Evolve the firm’s content system to best articulate firm, practice, and sector value propositions. Translate the firm’s stories into scannable, graphic client-centric content.
- Develop content that elevates our brand describing various firm, practice and sector capabilities and including pitch and proposal copy, introductory material overviews (in Word and PPT), slip-sheets, brochures, and case studies.
- Leverage copy and input from practice and sector marketing teams and evolve content to consistently and strongly reflect the firm’s brand. Elevate the marketing team’s ability to tell stories by modeling effective content development and training.
- Collaborate with the Pitch & Proposal team to be sure content development is high impact, leveraging a strong understanding of how content facilitates business development and translates into proposal and pitch material that best positions the firm to win work.
- Collaborate with the Communications team on the firm’s brand strategy and messaging framework, as a resource for and partners in iteratively telling the firm’s brand story.
- Hone a point of view on trends and client preferences for best practice sales enablement tools and brand awareness collateral.
- Influence key stakeholders and peers on best practice content development.
- Guide marketing and business development managers on best practice content development.
- Manage and help develop a system to maintain content and ensure it is kept up to date and is consistent, leveraging tools and resources to facilitate content management to include SharePoint online automated workflow tools (technology), to-be-developed rules and controls (process), the marketing and communications teams and other staff throughout the firm (people) for subject matter expertise.
- Continually apply creativity to writing client centric copy.
- Comfortably apply the firm’s brand playbook, style and voice guidelines when writing content.
- Provides leadership and management to a team of two business professionals to include coaching, mentoring, performance feedback, and professional development to execute on the responsibilities above.

Strong writing skills with ability to combine copy writing with design to best convey a message. Good understanding of brand strategy and how they apply to master messaging frameworks and translate to content. PowerPoint design skills and design aesthetic. Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills. Proficiency with MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint.
