Job Title : Security Surveillance Associate

Department : FTS

Reports to : Regional Security Manager

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt

Position Summary : This position's primary duty is to maintain the overall safety and security of our company's employees as well as its assets. The position requires an individual who is always professional and displays a professional demeanor, dress, attitude, as well as outstanding customer service. The Security Surveillance Associate will be a key member of the security team. They must also have a strong knowledge of the city roads, areas, regions, ways of navigating traffic, etc.

Dollar Loan Center (DLC), the leader in alternative short-term lending for more than 25 years, is expanding operations in the Southern Idaho area and is seeking enthusiastic, motivated individuals to join our team of Brand Ambassadors. DLC Brand Ambassadors will be responsible for new business development, interacting with potential customers at community events and special promotions within DLC stores.

E ssential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Surveillance experience.
  • Monitor all regions store front alarms.
  • Verify where employees and customers are via a remote video monitoring system.
  • Maintain a constant vigil over the stores during your shift.
  • Always maintain a professional demeanor and attitude.
  • Solve all safety and security issues that occur during your shift quickly and as efficiently as possible with as little interruption to our company's day to day operations.
  • Inform immediate supervisors of all emergency events that occur during your shift.
  • Report any malfunctioning security equipment immediately as they occur.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the Command Center.
  • Maintain proper security measures in compliance with DLC policies and procedures.
  • Monitor IT SD_WAN network for any outages. Call Managed Service Provider for any outages and follow up with notification email to IT team.
  • Manage and secure confidential information.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Requirements for Education and / or Experience :

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • 1 year previous security and surveillance experience preferred.
  • Must have valid Driver's License.
  • Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Experience :

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service background.
  • Be able to work well under stressful situations.
  • Computer literate with strong typing skills.
  • Must take direction well and be able to learn, understand, and adjust to any security situation.
  • Abilities :

    Requires the ability to gather and analyze facts based on camera surveillance, to devise solutions to problems, to prepare clear and concise reports, follow instructions, attention to details and to perform with a high level of accuracy, completeness, and legal compliance. Ability to work in a team environment; work effectively with others, provide effective client service and public relations, display strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing, organize, prioritize, research, and plan. Ability to correctly interpret, explain and apply policies and procedures, understand, and follow oral and written instructions, ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work; ability to interact with a variety of individuals from socio-economic, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds in sensitive or difficult situations.

    Requires repetitive movement, sitting, writing letters and memos, face-to-face discussions with individuals or teams, use of electronic mail, telephone conversations, contact with others (face-to-face, by telephone, or otherwise). Requires repeating the same physical activities or mental activities over and over; requires being exact or highly accurate, requires meeting strict deadlines. Requires work with external providers, customers or the public, work with others in a group or team, coordinating or leading others in accomplishing work activities.

    Work Environment :

    Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions. Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people .

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; on occasion, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
