What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Governance Manager position at DLL?
As the US Data Governance Manager, you will deliver monthly status updates to the US Data Governance Steering Committee using dashboards to summarize performance on data quality and the overall Data Management & Business Intelligence (DMBI) process.
- Serve as the US point person with the DLL Group Data Governance team and the DLL Group Data Governance Board and disseminate information/updates regarding the continuous improvement of data, and receive feedback and influence changes mandated by DLL Group.
- Prepare monthly meeting documents and facilitate the US Data Governance Steering Committee responsible for overseeing the data issue remediation, data ownership, stewardship, lineage and initiatives.
- Utilize knowledge of DMBI data modeling (including the information process flow, data documentation and ownership, storage and dependencies) to identify issues and associated root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
- Provide leadership and guidance to US Leadership Team (LT) on Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality (DQ) initiatives.
Day to Day
- Proactively identify and manage data definitions, data lineage, and data structure for core source systems to control upstream/downstream impact and mitigate risk.
- Create and maintain a US Data Glossary and ensure coordination with the Global Data Glossary; make and review contributions to the Global Data Definition Board.
- Liaise with system specific business and technical owners to gain support required to research and resolve issues.
- Liaise directly with US MT to escalate issues while retaining ownership of resolution. Track and monitor all issues from origin to completion.
- Establish and maintain methodology to prioritize issues into level of importance based on quantity and potential impact.
- Possess a firm understanding of financial reporting controls, analytics, and report procedure writing. Participate in troubleshooting of reports produced with respect to data quality.
- Liaise and participate directly with IT, Reporting and Analysis, and Product Owners and stakeholders for testing of new functionality regarding reporting capabilities, system enhancements and issues management.
- Perform comparative analysis to assess performance over a specific time frame. Aggregate results into performance dashboards.
- Understand DLL Group data governance policies and apply them to the US data governance process. Understand and apply Basel III, BCBS 239, and other regulations with a focus on data quality requirements to validate Rabobank and DLL interpretations that are in practice. Make recommendations to refine US data governance process based on policy assessment.
- Enforce corporate DLL data governance policies by communicating new policies to stakeholders and ensuring US compliance with these policies in the DMBI and US regulatory reporting processes as well as in support of the DLL digital strategy.
- Facilitate project management with initiatives involving data related Data Governance matters including the Future Model Landscape project. Understand project lifecycles, stakeholder management, and relationship building.
- Act as a business owner of DMBI project phases where batches of new fields will be added to the current process increasing the scope of the project. Ensure that technical owners, business owners, and data owners understand and are accountable to provide support to future DMBI expansion phases while acting as liaison with the Business Intelligence team to ensure successful project completion.

Essentials
- 8 years of relevant experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred (or equivalent years of experience).
- Strong MIS background.
- Proficient presentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent relationship building skills.
- Strong reporting and database skills.
- Extensive knowledge in Master Data Management (MDM) and data cleansing operations.
- Possess strong understanding of Database architecture and modeling.

Applicable Pay Range
$106,773.23-$155,000
DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills, years of relevant experience you possess, and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range, especially those with less experience or qualification.
This position is subject to the terms of DLL’s compensation plans and policies. Further, the position includes all other benefits provided to DLL employees, including healthcare benefits, 401k matching, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, possible discretionary bonuses, and all other benefits that are all governed by and subject to ERISA plan documents and eligibility.
