Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems, including but not limited to security systems, audio/video systems, and data networking. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively in the field.
Duties
- Install and configure low voltage systems according to specifications and schematics.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing low voltage equipment.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as Ohmmeters and Voltmeters to diagnose issues.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
- Document work performed and maintain accurate records of service calls and repairs.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations while working on-site.
- Provide field service support, troubleshooting problems as they arise during installations or maintenance visits.
Skills
- Proficient in equipment repair and maintenance of low voltage systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret schematics.
- Familiarity with computer hardware and networking principles is essential.
- Experience using hand tools effectively in various installation scenarios.
