Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Field Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and exceptional customer service skills. This role involves traveling to various job sites to perform maintenance, repairs, and installations of equipment, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The Field Technician will work with a variety of tools and machinery, including diesel engines, generators, and power tools.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients on-site.
- Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on diesel engines and generators.
- Utilize power tools effectively for various repair tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance to ensure reliable transportation to job sites.
- Execute welding tasks as needed for repairs or modifications.
- Assist in soldering components for electrical repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify customer needs and recommend solutions.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have previous experience troubleshooting, maintaining & repairing generators.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in diesel engine repair preferred.
- Proficiency in using power tools and understanding of schematics.
- Experience in generator repair is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks effectively.
- Welding skills are a plus for this position.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Previous experience in sales is beneficial but not required.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to travel to various locations as needed.
