Cashier

LOCATION: Dona Ana Range, NM

PAY: $13.17

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Cashier is responsible for accurately processing merchandise transactions, maintaining headcount, during operations, and maintaining their assigned work locations while providing excellent customer service.

JOB SUMMARY:

• Interacting with patrons to request meal cards as required.
• Greet and assist while anticipating their needs.
• Count, organize and balance the cash drawer, fill out the cashier slip and make deposits.
• Adheres to cash handling policies and procedures.
• Understand and be knowledgeable of the merchandise for sale to assist customers and accurately process transactions.
• Complete opening and closing procedures as assigned for the unit based on operating hours.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment during service and at the end of the shift.
• Ensure product in location is stocked to appropriate levels throughout service and replenish items as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Basic math & counting skills required.
• Must be able to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must possess a valid ServSafe Food Handler Certificate.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:

Receives supervision from the building manager. Position has formally assigned supervisory responsibility and authority. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:

The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and outdoor environment.

ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:

This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP has a Drug Free Workplace Policy that includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must pass a background check.
