Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Custodian to join our team. The Custodian will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order within our facilities, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for all occupants.
Duties:
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as dusting, mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming
- Maintain and clean restrooms and replenish supplies
- Handle waste disposal and recycling activities
- Conduct floor care duties including buffing, waxing, and polishing
- Assist with porter duties as needed
- Execute industrial cleaning tasks in accordance with safety guidelines
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly
Skills:
- Experience in commercial cleaning practices
- Proficiency in custodial duties and industrial cleaning techniques
- Knowledge of floor care procedures including buffing
- Ability to perform porter responsibilities effectively
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks

WORKING CONDITIONS:
The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor and/or outdoor environment. Works standing and walking for prolonged periods of time while cleaning and/sanitizing work area. Steps, stoops, crawls, climbs, lifts, bends, kneels, pulls and pushes while performing job duties such as heavy physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects up to 55 pounds. Physical work is a primary part of job. Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:
This position is subject to the DLP Services LLC, Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes: Post-Accident
Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED.
Must pass a federal background check.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
- Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
- Ability to understand verbal instructions.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- Effective grooming skills.
- Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures.
- Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
- Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Ability to lift, push/pull and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 32 per week
