POSITION TITLE: Quality Control Inspector
Location: Fort Riley, KS
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Pay: DOE
Classification: Full-time
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for maintaining a quality system compliant with customer requirements while assessing the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s supply chain. The Quality Control Inspector must ensure products meet customer expectations based on company objectives
JOB SUMMARY:
- Ability to understand the quality system documentation.
- Knowledge of gauges and measuring equipment.
- Use of controlled samples and visual criteria.
- Ability to enter dimensional results in the SPC database.
- Strong working knowledge of Team/Group problem-solving.
- Capacity to properly contain suspect material for review and disposition.
- Skilled to lead in problem-solving efforts with manufacturing, engineering, and production personnel.
- Must be able to follow up with management to ensure that products will be delivered on time and meet pre-determined deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and function well in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
- Basic computer skills, Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:Receives supervision from the Department Manager. Must complete jobs without constant supervision.
WORKING CONDITIONS:The principal duties of this position are performed in an indoor environment, with high equipment noise.
ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:This position is subject to pre-employment drug testing. DLP Services has a Drug Free Workplace Policy which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a quality control inspector in the same industry preferred
- Excellent oral and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced organizational skills.
- Excellent presentation and reporting skills
- Good knowledge about industry products and processes
- Strong regard for quality assurance according to company standards
- Proficient in computer word processing and Microsoft Office applications
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma/GED
- Must pass a background check.
Other:Valid Drivers’ License Class C.
