Position Overview: We are seeking seven (7) M&O Project Managers to manage and oversee all phases of school construction projectsfrom pre-construction through close-out. This includes managing project budgets and schedules, coordinating with public agencies and internal project staff, administering service agreements, reviewing contractor submittals, and ensuring compliance with DSA and LAUSD standards. Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from DLR PLANNING, LLC is required.
This is an on-site, long-term job. You must be located in Southern California. NO relocation funds, and NO per diem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all facets of pre-construction, bid and award, construction, and close-out phases of assigned projects
- Review pre-construction documents and coordinate with Designers
- Report project progress to upper management
- Coordinate with public agencies and internal District departments
- Manage project budgets and schedules; ensure monthly accuracy and alignment with progress
- Oversee daily contractor activities and review construction schedules and submittals
- Respond to Requests for Clarification (RFC) and review substitution submittals
- Negotiate Contractor Change Orders in line with General Conditions and schedule requirements
- Monitor and process payments for contractors, architects, and engineers
- Administer Professional Service Agreements between Architects and the District
- Coordinate delivery of fixtures, furniture, and equipment
- Oversee DSA project certification and financial close-out
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Onsite role in Los Angeles, CA.

Minimum Requirements:
Required Experience:
- (8 years) full time professional experience in the Project/Construction Management of Commercial and/or Public/Educational Facility Construction with full responsibility for coordinating complex projects with construction values up to $2M or more.
Additional Preferred Experience:
- Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
- Experience with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or
- the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
- Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes
Required Education:
- Graduation from a recognized college or university with a bachelors degree Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
