Contract Specialist (remote)
DLS Engineering is looking for a Contract Specialist to join our team for a full-time remote position in support of the U.S. Coast Guard Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence Service Center (C5ISC). This role is part of a new contract for new work and will interact directly with our customer.
A Day in the Life :
- Engage in defining the needs and forming teams for acquisition projects, reviewing current strategies, and performing market research to ensure alignment with government requirements.
- Work on requirements definition, acquisition strategy formulation, and development of actionable acquisition package artifacts that comply with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
- Collaborate with C5ISC Product Line Managers, Shared Service Division representatives, and other stakeholders to ensure acquisition projects meet goals and objectives.
- Provide expertise in acquisition planning, including :
- Current and emerging Federal Acquisition Regulations.
- Government acquisition techniques and processes.
- Information Technology, radio frequency communication, and / or sensor systems fundamentals.
- Business trends and best practices in business, management, and organizational management, especially in IT and C5I systems.
- Federally mandated policies and regulations for enterprise IT acquisition.
- Possess knowledge, skills, and abilities to research, prepare, develop, and revise documents for PWS requirements.
