Regional Food and Beverage Manager
Department: Operations
Reports to: Director of Operations
The Regional Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for the oversight of multiple facilities. This individual will oversee managers in the execution of financial and operational plans in support of the overall objectives of the company. They will provide coaching and leadership that results in the successful management of all venues.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Manages their region in compliance with company and government policies and procedures, leading with consistency and fair treatment of all employees
- Prepares and conducts performance appraisals for Food and Beverage Managers; reviews, approves and witnesses’ performance appraisals completed by Food and Beverage Managers
- Recruits and trains direct report positions; provides ongoing development of venue leadership
- Leads venue management in promotable employee development; reviews current development plans with managers; assigns new development plans with managers
- Performs required corrective action reports and handles necessary staff terminations; shows consistency in this process and the treatment of staff across region
- Performs operational, health / safety, financial and loss prevention audits of venues and designs improvements to optimize financial performance, operational productivity and to ensure conformance with government and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes regarding food storage, preparation, sanitation and record keeping
- Ensures the region financial performance meets company and client forecasts; works with venue management to optimize financial performance and operational productivity
- Prepares Quarterly Business Review reports; organizes delivery (includes ownership, directors, venue management and clients); works with venue management to organize plans for improvement based on results
- Visits all client accounts, and supports important events and meetings as needed; maintains positive client relationships
- Supports launches and new venue openings in the region
- Keeps Director of Operations and Development aware of venue operations
- Performs related duties and special projects as assigned by the Director of Operations and Development
Qualifications:
- Experience successfully managing multiple operations in the same or multiple markets
- Demonstrated ability to successfully lead and motivate experienced industry professionals, clients and peers
- Computer ability and expertise to calculate and analyze business records, metrics and statistical reports that allow for making business decisions
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions and develop solutions
- Working knowledge of computer operations and associated software applications required to accomplish job responsibilities
- Finance, Loss Prevention, Safety, Health Code and HR experiences
