About the Role:
The Quality Control Manager will oversee inspections of incoming products within the distribution center, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
This role involves creating work instructions, identifying defects, resolving nonconformances, and supporting continuous improvement projects.
The successful candidate will recommend improvements to inspection methods, frequency, and processes based on data analysis.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working in furniture/hardlines manufacturing is required.
- Experience working with high-quality wood, marble, or metal materials is required.
- Comfortable and familiar with working in a Distribution Center or Warehouse.
- Understands the entire production flow from raw materials to finished products and can pinpoint inefficiencies, identify root causes, and implement improvements to enhance process efficiency and overall productivity.
- Strong understanding of Quality Control (Material Inspection, In-process checks, First Article Inspection, Gauge R&R, CAPA).
- Able to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Exposure to lean manufacturing methodology would be helpful but not a requirement.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
- Passionate about building teams and training people.
- Able to travel quarterly (Domestic travel).
