Position Available: Full-Time Armed Security Officer at Flint Housing Commission - 3rd Shift
Position Available: Full-Time Armed Security Officer at Flint Housing Commission - 3rd Shift
Scheduled: 5 alternating nights per week, 8-hour shifts scheduled between 5:30pm and 8:00am = 40 hours per week
Wage: $19.00/hour

Primary Responsibilities:
- Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
- Unlock buildings/doors after checking identification and compliance with polices
- Observe activity and traffic in assigned area to enforce rules/regulations; alert visitors of infractions
- Assist any persons in building or on grounds needing directions or information
- Prevent losses or damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers
- Complete reports by recording observations and information, occurrences and surveillance activities; submit reports to supervisor if required
- Respond to alarms and/or dispatched calls
- Assist law enforcement officers with crowd control and surveillance at large public events, if needed
Position Requirements:
- 6 months security experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Concealed Pistol License (CPL)
- Proficiency in handling firearms
- Ability to pass a DMV check and drive company vehicle
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to follow basic verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Reliable transportation and a valid drivers license
