The Administrative Research Assistant plays a key role in providing administrative support to the clinical research team. This includes managing day-to-day operations, coordinating schedules, handling documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between team members, clients, and other stakeholders. The position requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and familiarity with clinical research protocols and regulatory requirements.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Administrative Duties:
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments, research visits, and follow-ups.
- Maintain and update patient records in electronic databases.
- Coordinate communication between research staff and study participants.
- Manage office supplies, research materials, and equipment inventory.
2. Clinical & Research Support:
- Greet and room patients for study visits.
- Take and document vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, etc.).
- Assist investigators with basic medical assessments and procedures.
- Collect and process biological samples as needed (following proper protocols).
- Ensure exam rooms and research areas are stocked and clean.
- Educate study participants on procedures, protocols, and informed consent.
- Maintain accurate documentation of research data and patient interactions.
3. All other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in a healthcare-related field preferred. A medical assistant degree will be considered as well
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical, research, or administrative setting preferred
- Experience taking vital signs and assisting with patient care preferred

Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficiency in Google Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to research compliance guidelines.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required.
