A warm, dynamic family based in New York City is seeking a highly professional, service-oriented Butler with light driving responsibilities to support their day-to-day lifestyle, events, travel, and home operations. The role is full-time, temp-to-perm, with guaranteed hours and significant long-term growth potential for the right candidate.

Schedule & Travel Expectations:
- NYC Base Schedule: Monday–Friday, starting at 7 AM (school drop-offs), generally ending by 4–5 PM
- Flexibility required on event days (occasional evenings)
- Aspen: During holidays (2–3 trips per winter, 1–2 weeks per trip)
- Hamptons: Month of August and occasional summer weeks (shared staff housing provided)
- When traveling: Flexibility for 7-day coverage with compensatory days off upon return
Key Responsibilities:
Hospitality & Event Support
- Set the tone and aesthetic for regular entertaining and special events
- Coordinate seamlessly with the Chef and Housekeeping staff (e.g., dinnerware selection, lighting, ambiance)
- Be present and available during events—quietly overseeing, anticipating needs, assisting with service
- Recommend wines and beverages to pair with meals
- Assist with welcoming and orienting guests—ensure a warm, professional, and polished experience
Household Coordination
- Support communication between household staff and Principal (using WhatsApp, Google Docs, Gmail)
- Oversee daily household checklists and maintenance routines
- Communicate with and manage outside vendors and service providers (e.g., in Aspen and Hamptons)
- Conduct walkthroughs and monitor home cleanliness, safety, and presentation
- Coordinate closely with the Director of Residences on logistics, updates, and special requests
Family Support
- Drive the children to school or activities as needed
- Help engage children in age-appropriate, light participation (e.g., “Want to help set the table?”)
- Occasionally assist with errands, pick-ups, or support nannies
- Assist with packing, unpacking, and organizing for family travel
- Manage snack prep, travel arrangements, and on-the-ground details for family trips
General Duties
- Maintain and track household inventory, including supplies, toiletries, and pantry items
- Manage wine inventory and cellar organization
- Make reservations and coordinate dining or outing logistics
- Provide high-end hospitality service (dinner service, bartending, etc.)
- Coordinate closely with property managers in Aspen and the Hamptons for seasonal prep, repairs, and access
- Ensure all household staff are supported and checklists are completed
- Offer light driving as needed (errands, pick-ups)
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in private service and hospitality or front-of-house roles
- Background in butlering or high-end event service strongly preferred
- Must be NYC-based and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable with tech (Google Workspace, messaging apps, and Savant)
- Highly organized, polished, discreet, and emotionally intelligent
- Flexible and adaptable, with a positive, "always-on" mindset
- Experience working around children and a natural, friendly rapport with them
- Able to travel and live on-site during trips (private accommodations provided)
