Overview
We are seeking a full-time Executive Housekeeper to join our repeat client's fantastic team.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform the general and in-depth cleaning for the home in Southampton
- Clean kitchen, baths, and bedrooms daily, including vacuuming and mopping floors, vacuuming furniture, carpeting and draperies, and dusting
- Handle the daily graces (i.e. fresh towels in the bathrooms, making beds, wiping bathroom and kitchen counters, loading and unloading dishwasher, etc.)
- Responsible for the care of fine furnishings including antiques and artwork
- Empty trash and organize recycling
- Wash inside windows, woodwork, etc.
- Polish silver as needed
- Assist in table setup serving when requested
- Execute periodic seasonal or deep-clean projects such as bookshelves, closets, storage areas, etc.
- Meticulously launder, iron, and press clothing
- Perform basic mending
- Organize and maintain all clothes, closets and drawers as needed by employer
- Assist with packing and unpacking
QUALIFICATIONS AND CHARACTER SKETCH:
- Excellent verifiable references and related experience
- Courteous, honest, meticulous, and responsible
- Discreet and respectful of employer’s privacy; willing to sign a confidentiality agreement
- Team player, hard working, and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Enjoys cleaning; possesses sound knowledge of proper care for fine furnishings, crystal, china, sterling silver, brass, marble, fine linens, cookware, etc.
- Willing to accept instruction and conform to the employer’s preferences; able to take direction from the House Manager
- Flexible and able to accommodate changes in a household routine
- Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds and capable of safely climbing and descending stairs
- Speaks English well
HOURS:
- General schedule Monday through Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm. Must have flexibility for weekend work as needed
- Must be flexible to the needs of the employer; weekend hours or earlier/later start times may be required
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- $50 per hour, depending on experience
