The DM Estate Staffing Team
A Bay Area family is looking for a warm, professional Rotational Nanny to care for their two toddlers. This role is ideal for someone experienced, confident, and knowledgeable about early childhood development, with a proactive mindset and recent infant and toddler experience.
The 7-day-on schedule includes living in the family’s home, with a private bedroom and bathroom provided. Responsibilities include creating engaging, age-appropriate activities, supporting developmental milestones, and working seamlessly with co-nannies and parents. Occasional holiday work and travel may be required. The ideal candidate is emotionally mature, energetic and up for working long days, adaptable, tech-savvy, and highly organized, with strong communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Schedule and Responsibilities:
- Full-time: 24-hour coverage/7 days a week, with a rotational 7 days on/7 days off schedule
- Holiday work will be required but the nannies will typically switch off the various holidays each year
- Live-in during the on-duty shift, with a private 1-bedroom suite provided
- Start Date: Immediately
- Local candidates will only be considered for this role! Must live within 2 hours of the Bay Area.
Duties Include:
- Ability to juggle multiple kids at once
- Organizing and tracking children's schedules, feeding, bathing, playing, and offering comfort
- Preparing and cleaning up after children's meals and activities
- Prioritizing children's safety, development, and comfort
- Creating a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment
- Monitoring and responding to the baby monitor during rest hours
- Assisting with sleep training and bedtime routines
- Communicating children's behaviors and agreeing on consistent parenting philosophies – nanny must always defer to the parents’ preferences
- Performing light housekeeping related to childcare, including laundry and maintaining organized play areas
- Researching and making suggestions regarding age-appropriate activities and developmental milestones
- Keeping the diaper bag and supply lists organized and updated
- Traveling with the family when requested
Qualifications:
- Verifiable, long-term experience working with infants and toddlers
- At least 3 years experience working as a rotational nanny
- Knowledge of general first aid and CPR certification
- Willingness to follow the family’s COVID-19 safety protocols
- Must have strong time management skills
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and reliable personal vehicle
- Legal eligibility to work in the United States
- Willingness to sign an NDA and submit to an in-depth background check
- Physical ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 35 pounds
Compensation/Benefits:
- $120,000-$130,000 per year| depending on experience
