We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Flooring Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality craftsmanship and a strong understanding of various flooring materials and installation techniques. As a Flooring Installer, you will be responsible for ensuring that flooring projects are completed to the highest standards, enhancing the aesthetic and functional aspects of residential and commercial spaces.
Responsibilities
- Measure and cut flooring materials to fit specific areas according to project specifications.
- Install various types of flooring, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet, ensuring proper alignment and secure placement.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine layout and installation requirements.
- Prepare subfloors by cleaning, leveling, or repairing surfaces as needed before installation.
- Conduct floor care tasks post-installation to ensure surfaces are clean and ready for use.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions or concerns during the installation process.
- Perform water damage restoration as necessary to maintain the integrity of flooring installations.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to flooring installation.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics for accurate project execution.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques to maintain installed surfaces effectively.
- Experience in building structures related to flooring projects, including fixture installation and cabinet installation.
- Familiarity with construction painting practices as they relate to finishing touches on flooring jobs.
- Competence in construction estimating for accurate material needs assessment.
- Experience in water damage restoration processes is a plus.
