This individual will possess strong interpersonal skills, with some sales experience. A background in insurance, transportation insurance or within the transportation field would be helpful. He or she will be responsible for managing and maintaining sales process functions such as helping to identify and process target accounts, manage workflow around DMC sales approach to target accounts, participate in the management of broker and producer relationships, and act as a general resource for needs of the sales department. This individual will be results-driven and apply a consultative sales approach in a professional environment. Successful individuals will have a strong aptitude for relationship management and conflict resolution. This candidate will exhibit a desire to serve our customers with a best-in-class, value-driven insurance product.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the process of sales development
  • Help to identify and process target accounts
  • Manage work flow relating to target accounts
  • Create and maintain detailed content in DMC’s CRM regarding brokers, insureds, and potential customers. This includes a record of contact points, details around quotes and their outcomes, and information regarding individuals within each group including position, role within the company, and any relevant personal information.
  • Support sales teams efforts to build and manage a sales pipeline and manage the tracking of activities through various stages of sales funnel.
  • Adhere to established SOP performance metrics applicable to the position. This include metrics identified in the Weekly Sales Status Report, the timeliness of established regular reports or functions, and the responsiveness to any project requests. These include but are not limited to :
  • Enter feedback from Round Table into CRM within 24 business hours for the Round Table meeting
  • Enter Sales Scenario’s into CRM, ImageRight, and the S Drive within 48 hours of receiving.
  • Calendar Protocol : Issue the meeting schedule for the next two months the 1st Wednesday of each month.
  • Work with sales team to manage broker and insured relationships. Functions will include, but not be limited to :
  • Manage broker and insured work flow and quality of work using identified metrics
  • Participate in meeting planning for broker and insured engagements, including presentations and general meeting preparations
  • Assistance with broker and insured communication
  • Execute broker and insured management data report
  • Send meeting note template to Sales in advance of each meeting.
  • Enter Approved Sales Meeting Notes into CRM within 24 business hours of their approval.
  • Schedule PRP within the first 14 days of the month the first payment is due.
  • Request access to CF Connect and Origami for accounts as part of the PRP process. Indicate in CRM once email invitations for both systems have been confirmed.
  • Distribute updated Target Account Spreadsheet in advance of Target Account Meeting held every two weeks.
  • New Target Account Action Plan set up within 2 weeks of notification of New Target Account.
  • Sales Pipeline Report – Distributed the 18th of each month.
  • Support work flow required for Sales Team meeting schedule, both in and out of the office.
  • Help Sales Operations Manager to score department performance against established performance based metrics.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with insurance or consultative selling.
  • Sales mentality – Experience with engaging with external and internal customers in a collaborative way.
  • Knowledge of the transportation insurance industry is a plus.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to engage cross functionally across teams and businesses.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of the Microsoft Word and Excel and an aptitude to learn new programs.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to manage time in a fast-paced environment, prioritize critical tasks, communicate with management on status, and deliver on objectives in a timely fashion.
