GENERAL LABORER
This is a great opportunity to start or enhance your career in a machine shop environment in an entry-level general laborer/machine operator position!
Job Description:
Under supervision, performs various physical labor and semi-skilled tasks in the machine shop. Operates various mechanical equipment such as metal cutting machines, metal parts washer machines, automatic deburring machines, plasma cutter, screw machine, etc., and performs other related work as directed. Duties will also include using equipment and measurement tools such as drill press, rulers, calipers, depth gauges, go/no-go gauges, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in preparing the work area and in ensuring that materials and tools are available as needed
- Returns tools and equipment to their proper place
- Help keep tools and supplies in a clean and orderly manner on the job
- Clean the work area after the job is completed
- Performs other housekeeping duties as needed
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must demonstrate exceptional reliability (i.e., attendance, punctuality)
- Must possess a safety-awareness approach to all tasks and comply with all safety rules and regulations
- Ability to learn machine operating procedures, methods, materials, tools, equipment and parts used in performing semi-skilled work
- Must be able to follow oral and simple written directions and perform simple arithmetic calculations
- Must be able and willing to work daily and/or Saturday overtime
- Must be able to safely lift, push and/or pull up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to read blueprints is a plus!
Prior experience as a laborer in a manufacturing environment preferred.

- 1st Shift - 5:30am - 2:00pm
- 2nd Shift - 1:45pm - 10:15pm
