QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR
2nd shift - 2:00pm to 10:30pm

We are currently seeking a full-time QUALITY CONTROL INSPECTOR to join our team.
Job Description:
We are actively hiring a Quality Control Inspector for the 1st Shift Monday - Friday. Experienced, competent Quality Control Inspectors must be highly skilled and have the ability to work with great concentration and precision. Must be responsible and comply with all safety guidelines. Having a keen eye for detail and great mechanical aptitude are essential. The goal is to produce high-quality parts and materials by programming machines to perform the right operations.
Duties:
- Perform visual and mechanical inspection using measurement and test equipment such as: calipers, micrometers, pin gages, bore gages, height gage, angle protractor and optical comparator.
- Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendor, in-process parts being manufactured, and outgoing products for shipping.
- Read blueprints, plans and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
- Strong understanding of GD&T.
- Functional knowledge of metrology.
- Initiate and act on discrepancy / non-conformance as necessary.
- Conduct internal investigations on root cause of non-conformance/ failure and finding disposition of non-conformance.
- Develop and implement procedures for technical processes to increase process control efficiency.
- Assure that the documentation of the quality system is controlled, maintained and recorded in a manner consistent with the requirements of ISO9001-2015 and DMC Power quality requirements.
- Maintain database systems used to document quality functions.
Requirements:
- Knowledge of ERP systems highly preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of tooling / hydraulics strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of power/utility industry and/or substation projects highly preferred.
- 1 - 3 years of quality control inspection or manufacturing inspection experience required.
