What are the responsibilities and job description for the Customer Service Representative position at DMC Power, Inc.?
This is a regular, full-time, hourly position. Competitive base pay, health, dental, vision, life, and 401k benefits and a monthly bonus plan. DMC Power manufactures connectors for the electrical utility field.
Two Primary duties of the position:
1) 50% Time. Act as the liaison between Sales, Operations, and Business to Business Customers, managing all steps through the sales process.
Receive emails and phone calls, cross reference customer RFQ’s, process quotes, review and input orders, manage the production of parts and provide updates on order status, handle customer returns, and other regular duties. The candidate must be able to effectively communicate with all need-to-know parties any/all findings that could affect scheduling, inventories, and order fulfillment.
2) 50% Time. Warehouse, shipping, and tool maintenance for the rental department.
Perform shipping and receiving, inventory counting. Clean and maintain hand tools associated with the rental department. Basic tool assembly, testing, and repair associated with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic tools.
Work Environment
· This is a clean small office suite with an attached warehouse.
· Position requires some direct customer interaction.
· Intermittent periods of physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering material or equipment, some of which maybe heavy or awkward, are required.
· Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery and loud noise.
Requirements: High School Degree, GED required. 2 years of equivalent experience preferred. Clean driving record.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

- Must be self-motivated and willing to motivate others.
- Extremely focused and detail-oriented.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills – both on phone and in email.
- Must be able to compose and reply to a heavy volume of emails in a highly business-professional manner, so exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
- Knowledge of JD Edwards software preferred. Must be capable to learn manufacturing software.
- Wired Contact customer management software preferred.
- Basic Mechanical aptitude or knowledge.
- Lift 50 lbs.
- 25 years of age for driving company vehicles. Driving is infrequent.
- Able to operate or be trained to drive forklift. Desired.
