DMG CPAs is a well-established, mid-sized accounting firm based in Atlanta that specializes in providing a comprehensive range of financial services including accounting, tax preparation & planning, Tax Resolution, and Fractional CFO, Advisory services, and business consulting. As part of our strategic growth plans, we are seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support our CFO, tax planning, and advisory services.
Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities:
This role is critical for providing financial insights, forecasting, and analytical support to help drive data-driven decision-making for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial modeling, reporting, and business advisory, with experience working with businesses generating between $1M - $10M in revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Analyze financial statements to assess company performance and identify trends.
- Prepare financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
- Assist in developing financial KPIs and dashboards for client reporting.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
Business Advisory Support:
- Work closely with the CFO and advisory teams to support client engagements.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations on cost controls, revenue growth, and cash flow management.
- Develop financial strategies for business expansion, investment decisions, and operational efficiencies.
Tax & Compliance Support:
- Collaborate with tax and compliance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Support in tax planning and financial structuring for clients.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with financial regulations and GAAP standards.
Client & Internal Engagement:
- Communicate financial findings and strategies effectively to both clients and internal teams.
- Assist in preparing presentations and reports for client meetings.
- Provide support on special financial projects as needed.
Skills Required and Qualifications:
Previous experience in business to business sales or sales coordination
Experienced with the Microsoft Office Suite program with an emphasis on Excel
Experienced in data analysis and reporting
Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
Strong writing/editing/proofreading skills
Excellent computer and communications skills
Outstanding organization characteristic.
Self-motivated and self-sufficient with the ability to work independently and successfully prioritize and problem solve
Experience and working knowledge of PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite 365, Adobe Suite
Email Marketing experience
Social Media Marketing Experience
Event Planning experience
Graphic Design experience
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (CPA or CFA preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of financial analysis, FP&A, or advisory experience, preferably in a CPA or consulting firm.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Excel, financial modeling, and financial statement analysis. Knowledge of QuickBooks, or Syft Analytics software is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to interpret financial data and present actionable insights to clients.
What We Offer:
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 (Depending on experience and qualifications)
