DMH Companies has an immediate opening for an Industrial Painter in Savage, MN. DMH Companie fabricated steel enclosures and rebuilds equipment. The Industrial Painter performs routine and preventive maintenance painting duties, occasional sandblasting, and a full range of specialized painting. Prior experience is not necessary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces.
- Operates a forklift.
- Maintains paint shop inventory and orders supplies as needed.
- Maintains a clean workspace and is responsible for shop cleaning.
- Ensures paint shop output and work performed is of high quality to ensure both internal and external quality customer service.
- Keeps supervisor informed of known actions, written or verbal, which may affect the ability to successfully perform assignments or adversely affect Company operations.
- Completes special projects as assigned by management.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to comply with safety precautions and procedures.
- Ability to operate sandblasting/painting tools and equipment, or ability to learn.
- Ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, vendors, customers, and other business associates.
- Ability to consistently meet attendance expectations and paint shop deadlines as required by management and/or dictated by project & customer requirements. Dependability is a must.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- One to Three years of industrial painting and sandblasting experience is preferred but not required.
- Technical college or trade certification is preferred but not required.
- Welding experience is preferred but not required.
Other
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have Valid Drivers License

Employee is exposed to environmental conditions, working near machines and loud noises associated with construction sites. Employee is exposed to loud noise, dust, and fumes. Exposed to variable weather conditions including rain, snow, wind, cold and heat.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
