Job Description: Senior AWS AppStream Expert

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced AWS AppStream Expert to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in designing, implementing, and managing AWS AppStream environments, along with a deep understanding of cloud technologies, application streaming, and best practices in security and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS AppStream 2.0 environments to support application streaming needs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and architect scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
• Optimize AppStream performance, including tuning instance types, fleets, scaling policies, and image management.
• Implement and manage secure user authentication methods, including integration with Active Directory or other identity providers.
• Monitor and troubleshoot AppStream environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Develop automation scripts using AWS SDKs, CLI, or Infrastructure as Code (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Ensure compliance with security standards, including IAM policies, VPC configurations, and data encryption.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to development teams on integrating AppStream with other AWS services (e.g., S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Lambda).
• Create and maintain documentation for AppStream environments, workflows, and best practices.
• Stay up-to-date with AWS service updates and emerging technologies to recommend improvements.

Required Skills and Experience:

• AWS AppStream 2.0 Expertise: Proven experience in designing, configuring, and managing AppStream deployments.
• AWS Services: Strong knowledge of core AWS services, including EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.
• Automation and Scripting: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash, and experience with automation tools.
• Networking: Deep understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, routing, security groups, and subnetting.
• Security: Experience with secure authentication mechanisms, identity federation, and access management.
• Application Deployment: Familiarity with packaging and deploying applications for streaming environments.
• Troubleshooting and Monitoring: Expertise in diagnosing issues, performance tuning, and leveraging monitoring tools.
• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or Advanced Networking is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications – AWS and related cloud platforms/ tools etc
• Experience with multi-region deployments and disaster recovery planning.
• Familiarity with hybrid environments integrating on-premise and cloud systems.
• Knowledge of enterprise applications, virtual desktops, or alternative streaming technologies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
