What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acquired Brain Injury/Moving Forward Plan-Risk Manager/Program Monitor position at DMR-Northeast Region?
The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) Northeast Region is seeking a motivated and experienced individual for the role of Risk Manager/ Program Monitor (Compliance Officer Ill) in the Acquired Brain Injury/ MOVING FORWARD PLAN(ABI/MFP) Team at the Regional Office in Danvers. The ABI/MFP Waiver Risk Manager/Program Monitor is a member of the Regional ABI/MFP Team working under the direction of the ABI/ MFP Waiver Director in collaboration with the Regional Risk Manager to that ensure all ABI/MFP risk management systems are in compliance with all risk management, program monitoring, and quality management policies and procedures established by the DDS.
- Member of the ABI/MFP leadership team in the Region; receive information related to on call events, liaise with SCs around participant specific issues, assist in developing resources to address specific issues, visit site providing supports as appropriate or assigned
- Chair the CRT
- Complete a monthly report to the director of ABI/MFP detailing accomplishments/projects for the reporting period
- Attend Oversee the HCSIS and trigger reporting systems for the ABI/MFP team, following up as needed to ensure completion and review of trigger reports.
- Monitor civil investigations conducted by DDS or DPPC staff and conduct administrative reviews as assigned.
- Support the ABI/MFP team in all risk issues with a focus of ensuring the safety and well-being of the individuals served by the team.
- Establish risk management protocols; oversee risk plans, coordinate risk meetings.
- Serve as the Team’s liaison with the Director of Risk Management, Office of Quality Enhancement, and DDS Investigations.
- Primary liaison to providers for safety planning, QE follow- up, risk and program monitoring concerns, and DPPC complaint follow- up.
- Participate in provider and Team meetings with ABI/ MFP Waiver Team members to support follow- up and problem solving with any risk, program monitoring issues, DPPC reporting and follow- up, and HCSIS follow- up.
- Prepare reports and data analysis relative to trends and patterns
- Deliver content-based training to DDS and Provider staff as requested
- Oversee Site Monitoring process
- Complete other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with the population served by the ABI/MFP team.
- Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS)
- Excellent Leadership and organizational skills.
- Experience with program evaluation.
- Ability to analyze and determine the applicability of data, draw conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations.
- Experience organizing project tasks and coordinating team activities.
- Provide technical assistance to consumers, providers, family members, citizens, and agency personnel specific to risk management, program monitoring, DPPC, and QE
- Capable of handing confidential information and/or raw data.
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral expression.
Agency Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Possess a current and valid Massachusetts Class D Motor Vehicle Operator ' s license or equivalent license from the state in which you reside.
Schedule Information:
Full-time - 37.5-hour weekly position
Schedule - Monday through Friday from 8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Days off - Sunday and Saturday
Eligible to work a hybrid schedule
