We are looking for a CT Technologist to work Monday-Friday, daytime hours in Austin, MN . Must be willing and flexible to travel occasionally to other sites within the region to provide back up support. We are looking for a CT Technologist to work Monday-Friday, daytime hours in Austin, MN . Essential Duties
- Ensuring physicians and other members of a patient’s care team receive high-quality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments.
- Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional.
- Explaining what will happen during the CT scan to patients.
- Positioning patients properly to take the necessary images.
- Administering IVs that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging.
- Examining images to ensure they’re usable.
- Updating patient medical information.
- Keeping an inventory of CT scan supplies and making orders for supply restocks as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Must be able to multi-task while maintaining great patient care as well as superior quality of exams in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, analytical, critical thinking, organizational and time management skills.
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to work well independently.
- The ability to follow instructions in stressful environments.
- Superb bedside manner and the ability to work with a variety of personalities.
- PC proficiency to access job-related internet websites, review on-line documentation and experience using Microsoft Office Suite products.
- AART (CT), CPR certified, mandatory education provided by company, TB, flu, COVID and Hep B vaccinations
- Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel and crawl
- Climb up and down stairs
- Push and pull wheelchairs
- Carry and lift with the ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or exam
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
