We are seeking a Technologist Assistant to work part-time in Paterson, NJ. This position will be responsible for assisting the technologist at various clinics and medical centers. Routes are subject to change based on business needs. We pay the hourly rate door-to-door, reimburse mileage at the IRS rate for all but 60 miles/trip, cell phone stipend, clothing allowance and much more!
Essential Duties
- Transports patients between the facility and scanner and completing documentation.
- Provides operational and administrative support to the technologist.
- Prepares, cleans and sanitizes exam areas, changes table linens, patient verification, and helps with patient transfers from and to beds, wheelchairs, and carts.
- Manages patient exam records, ensures patient comfort, engage in ethical conduct, and make sure work adheres to regulatory requirements.
- Complies with safety and quality procedures and initiatives by strictly following safety policies, rules and safe work methods, making suggestions to support continuous improvements in safety, promptly correcting or reporting safety hazards or unsafe conditions, promptly reporting injuries for timely diagnoses and medical treatment, and by participating in safety processes such as safety committee, safety inspections, etc.
- This position may be required to travel up to 100% of the time.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- High school graduate or GED.
- Prior healthcare experience strongly preferred; customer service experience desired.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, organizational, accuracy and detail orientation skills.
- PC proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Testing
- CPR certified (DMS will assist with this process if not already certified), TB and influenza (if required by the medical facilities)

- Stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel and crawl
- Climb up and down stairs
- Push and pull wheelchairs
- Carry and lift with the ability to move non-ambulatory patients from a sitting or lying position for transfer or exam
- Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
