As a Technical Sales Coordinator you'll be responsible for designing and drafting proposals, ensuring that quotes are technically correct before they are signed off. You'll be responsible for the following: providing technical support throughout the sales process, writing technical specs, specifying correct equipment required for each proposal, providing concept drawings for the quotes, preparing supporting documents and detailed drawings for projects, attending client meetings to confirm and ensure that the technical requirements are correct. The Technical Sales Coordinator will generate sales for AV systems through developing and maintaining client relationships and expanding the company's current client base. You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills with a strong customer service focus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Technical interpretation of client and partner specifications
- Producing Bill of Materials, including all equipment and professional services required for project completion
- Production of customer facing presentations, proof-of-concept schematics and technical overview documentation
- Utilize your AV engineering experience to identify sales prospects within the assigned territory and provide accurate forecasts and activity reports to management
- Analyze cross-selling and up-selling opportunities, ensuring that all company products and services have been thoroughly presented and the sales cycle successfully executed
- Establish key accounts and build on our client base with new clients and partners
- Exhibit a consultative sales approach to determine a customer's AV collaboration needs
- Develop price quotations and bid responses that are complete, accurate, and profitable
- Work with the Operations team to ensure a smooth transition from sale to installation
- Establish professional relationships with distributor / manufacturer sales personnel
- Assist with tenders for new business and framework acquisitions
- Actively use internal systems (Salesforce) to complete client contact information, provide detailed notes and track pending activities
- Participate in training and professional development activities as directed by management
- Suggest actions to improve sales performance and identify opportunities for growth
- Keeping up to date with current and emerging AV/UC technologies
- Any other duties as outlined by your manager / SMT.
- Minimum 2 years AV/UC system design experience
- CTS, CTS-D or CTS-I certification (or working towards this) would be an advantage
- Thorough knowledge / experience of AutoCAD, MS Office, CRM software
- Effective communication and interaction with clients and colleagues, ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Mature personality with the ability to work both on own initiative and in a team environment, often under pressure and to strict deadlines.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with discretion
- Self-starter, goal setting mentality, lateral thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Confident and assured presenter, to all levels of customers and colleagues.
- Educated to degree level in a relevant subject
- 2 years' relevant and up to date experience of the AV industry
- At least 2 years' experience of direct selling in the AV/VTC area is desirable.
