Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Manager position performs all tasks involved in the development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and periodically provides reports on the performance of the QMS along with recommendations for improvement. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

- Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and periodically provides reports on the performance of the QMS along with recommendations for improvement.
- Develops and maintains current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), guidelines, standards and records.
- Responsible for controlling new and revised documents required for the operation of the QMS.
- Establishes quality standards and policies, performs needed organizational assessments and manages projects.
- Maintains a robust Quality Assurance Program which addresses disposition, deviation, investigation and corrective action.
- Develops staff and drives new approaches to Quality Assurance and Quality Control.
- Reviews and approves SOPs, protocols.
- Leads and manages the day-to-day activities of all quality personnel and ensures the efficiency and effectiveness of all on-site quality system activities.
- Represents Quality Assurance on cross-functional teams participating in various operational such as Lean improvements.
- Reviews and Approves deviations/non-conformances. Establishes effective corrective action plans of all the department non-conformances.
- Leads, supports, and participates with the Operations and manufacturing
- Ensures the execution of corrective action and compliance with internal quality procedures and external standards.
- Manages the document control
- Generates opportunities for improvement and other QA documents as required.
- Oversees the CAOA Corrective and Preventive Action Program.
- Provides feedback and advice related to Customer Complaints.
- Schedules investigations and audits and provides reports of investigation or audit findings to appropriate entities.
- Establishes and conducts a training program
- Evaluates employee competence and issues training as applicable.
- Interacts with Shipping and Receiving, Operations manager and other internal groups to facilitate order processing and fulfillment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The position involves sitting, walking and lifting less than 10 pounds for long periods of time throughout the day.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 4pm.
Travel after six months on job for training may be expected.
Required Education and Experience
- Quality Assurance Management experience
- Knowledge of ISO-9001 regulations and standards
- Prior supervisory experience
- Manufacturing experience
- High school diploma or GED.
