We seek a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our growing team at DMV Allergy and Asthma Center. In this role, you will provide specialized care for allergies, asthma, and immunology patients. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive allergy evaluations, performing diagnostic tests, and developing personalized care plans. You will play a vital role in helping patients manage and improve their quality of life.

Allergy Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive allergy-focused physical exams and patient observations.
  • Record detailed medical histories and document allergy and asthma symptoms.
  • Develop and implement individualized allergy and asthma management plans.
  • Order, administer, and interpret allergy tests (skin prick tests, intradermal tests, patch tests) and pulmonary function tests (PFTs).
  • Administer allergy immunotherapy injections and monitor for reactions.
  • Educate patients and families on allergy avoidance strategies, treatment plans, and medication use.
  • Diagnose allergic conditions and related respiratory issues (e.g., allergic rhinitis, asthma, eczema).
  • Detect changes in patients' conditions and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical safety standards.

Nurse Practitioner Requirements:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
  • Active RN licensure and Nurse Practitioner certification (ANCC or AANP).
  • APN authorization is required in the state of employment
  • Prescriptive authority and DEA registration.
  • Experience in allergy, asthma, or immunology care is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools, including skin testing, spirometry, and Sinus CT interpretation.
  • Knowledge of allergy immunotherapy, biologics, and asthma management.
  • Proficiency in medical records systems and data management software.
  • Strong patient education and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and decision-making capabilities.
  • Understanding of pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.

Salary : $120,000
