Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to work closely with financial businesses, developers, and quality analysts to drive requirements and deliver value in all phases of Agile software development. The successful candidate will use systems analysis techniques and procedures, including consulting with users to determine software or system functional specifications.
- Define, elaborate, synthesize, and document detailed user stories based on Epics or Story Titles from business requirements.
- Map out process flows in existing and future payment environments.
- Collaborate with Technical Product Owners or business SMEs to understand and define business requirements and ensure alignment with user stories.
- Serve as the authoritative point of contact for development and testing team members to address open questions or issues about user stories.
- Cross-train with other Business Analysts to provide mutual backup and support.
- Partner closely with QA specialists during testing to minimize ambiguity, friction, and delays.
- Participate as a member of a cross-functional Scrum team, assisting with test execution, UAT support, and retrospective improvements.
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst on cross-functional Scrum teams delivering custom software development.
- 2 years of experience in the financial or retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methods, processes, and tools.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Experience using Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or other Scrum documentation tools.
- IT domain experience in Product Management, Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, and Quality Assurance.
- Technical proficiency with SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to coach and advise on Agile best practices.
