Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Embedded Software Application Engineer responsible for releasing hardware and software design solutions for electronic components used in vehicle functions or body controls, specifically for North American truck products. The successful candidate will collaborate with global technology teams and Tier-1 suppliers, ensuring the integration and functionality of electronic control units (ECUs) in our products.
- Track platform development progress with global technology teams.
- Participate in discussions with Tier-1 component suppliers.
- Adhere to Level 4 time plan activities and milestones.
- Assist with component installations for Body ECUs and troubleshoot issues.
- Work with the truck integration team to resolve component-related issues.
- Manage defect reports and follow the resolution process.
- Document software configurations for various variant combinations and manage the electronic software (ESW) release process.
- Utilize Canalyzer tools to analyze log files and perform troubleshooting.
- Download software using factory, engineering, and service tools.
- Conduct minimum smoke tests on benches before delivery to integration teams.
- Engage in PI planning, break down features to stories and tasks, and manage progress through sprints.
- Occasionally work on trucks to debug and troubleshoot issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in embedded development.
- Proficiency with hardware and software release processes in the automotive or related industry.
- Experience with Canalyzer and troubleshooting electronic systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently on complex tasks.
