Job Purpose:
The Epic Orders Analyst plays a crucial role in updating and maintaining Epic order sets to align with the best practices for patient care. This involves collaborating with clinicians, application analysts, and operational stakeholders to ensure that the order sets meet clinical and operational needs while maintaining system functionality.
- Collaborate with application analysts and operational stakeholders to collect and implement requirements for Epic order set updates.
- Conduct comprehensive build activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Facilitate effective meetings and provide detailed agendas and minutes to support technical implementations and user adoption.
- Identify and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) with operations to measure update success.
- Provide weekly status reports on the progress of assignments and escalate issues as necessary.
- Perform thorough testing of order set updates with stakeholders to ensure functionality.
- Deliver training and support to clinical customers on new updates or changes.
Required Technical Experience:
- Epic Certification: Must have Epic Orders Certification.
- Epic Order Set Build: Minimum of 10 years of experience in Epic application build and support, specifically with Epic order sets.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in implementing changes and enhancements within Epic EMR systems.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- SDLC Experience: Well-versed in the design, build, testing, and implementation phases within an Epic environment.
