Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Functional Consultant - Enterprise Apps to provide technical expertise in Appian software development, design, implementation, and maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading complex development projects, including architecture design specifications, and managing offshore teams.
- Provide technical expertise in Appian development, completing complex design, implementation, and maintenance activities.
- Lead offshore teams, ensuring effective collaboration and communication across project phases.
- Ensure the viability of IT deliverables, recommend development options, and approve technical solutions.
- Conduct comprehensive testing across functionality, technical limitations, and security aspects.
- Identify potential solutions and address complex technical issues, escalating them to IT experts as needed.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders about project issues, implications, and the impacts of technology change requests.
- Participate in design, code, and test inspections throughout the product lifecycle to ensure quality and identify issues.
- Present technical status and issues at milestone reviews and explain technical considerations at meetings with internal clients.
- Perform systems analysis activities and regularly communicate project status and issues to all stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Appian development and the ability to develop custom plugins.
- Experience leading offshore teams and managing complex software development projects.
- Strong understanding of and ability to conduct functionality, security, and technical limitation testing.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to perform root cause analysis.
- Effective communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with IT and Information Security policies and procedures.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Appian development.
- Experience with other BPM tools and technologies.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field.
