Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Engineer with a strong background in Brokerage services to join our team. This role involves critical enhancements and maintenance with a focus on Trades Settlements and Mutual Funds processing within the securities industry. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive analysis, application development, and seamless integration to meet industry-mandated requirements.
- Provide comprehensive analysis and application development for Trades Settlements and Mutual Funds processing.
- Design and maintain architecture solutions on a platform dedicated to high scale processing of large amounts of data.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to brokerage transactions and data processing.
- Collaborate with Operations to plan major infrastructure upgrades, solve issues, and tune the environment for efficient performance and uptime.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and provide support for issues in non-prod or production environments.
- Communicate and reinforce technical standards across teams.
Required Skills:
- 10 years of experience as a Mainframe Developer working with Cobol, CICS, DB2, JCL, Endeavor, VSA.
- Demonstrated experience writing COBOL/Native stored procedures.
- Experience in the development and deployment of both Batch and Online transaction processing applications.
- Experience in the Investment and financial Industry.
- Working experience in an agile development environment.
- Participation in on-call support rotation.
