Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to provide application development and integration services within a robust Salesforce environment. This role involves designing, maintaining, developing, and enhancing agency applications for the Department of Technology, Management and Budget and the Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential (MiLEAP). The successful candidate will execute project assignments within the framework of the State of Michigan System Engineering Methodology (SEM).
- Design, maintain, develop, and enhance applications on the Salesforce platform.
- Implement technical solutions on Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Public Sector Foundation for licensing/permitting.
- Conduct full lifecycle implementations, understanding the capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce platform.
- Develop using APEX, Force.com, Java, Salesforce Flow Builder, Visual Flow Pages, and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
- Manage data migrations, integrations, and authentication across systems.
- Ensure high-performance solutions and manage technical aspects of Salesforce.com programs.
- Define and manage technical change management processes related to Salesforce technology efforts.
- Oversee backup and recovery, data seeding, and utilize tools like OwnBackup.
- Utilize additional tools such as Conga Composer and Omniscripts for specific Salesforce functions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 years of experience on Salesforce platform with specific experience in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.
- 2 years experience with Public Sector Foundation.
- Extensive experience with custom development on Salesforce including APEX and LWC.
- Proven track record in two full Salesforce.com lifecycle implementations.
- Experience in Azure DevOps, database architecture, and infrastructure/network support.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating technical jargon to a varied audience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Certifications in Salesforce (e.g., Certified Salesforce Developer, Advanced Developer, or Architect).
