We are seeking a seasoned Project Manager with strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will manage complex, large-scale projects involving multiple team members and requiring coordination with various stakeholders and vendors.
Requirements
- Provide oversight, leadership, and project management for one or more large size, complex projects.
- Assist in the evaluation of technical requirements and propose solutions that align with business objectives and adhere to SOM best practices and industry standards.
- Ensure consistency with the State of Michigan (SOM) project management methodology (SUITE), investment management, and systems engineering methodology.
- Perform long-term release planning based on organizational direction.
- Regularly interact with project management teams to monitor the status of budget, quality, and schedule.
- Escalate issues and risks as necessary to executives and exercise project quality control to ensure project scope expectations are met.
