DMV Psychiatric Wellness is currently accepting resumes for Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner positions in our outpatient office located in the heart of DC.

DMV Psychiatric Wellness providers (PMHNP-BC) provide in-depth psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and continuation of services to the patients/clients.

This position requires self-motivated, ambitious Providers who are seeking the flexibility and autonomy of private practice and can work in an active environment. Providers must have the ability to collaborate on a motivated team, high stands of excellent work ethic, and strong clinical skills. Providers focus on medication management, healthy recovery initiatives, and sustaining positive mental health.

Responsibilities

  • Provide initial and ongoing psychiatric evaluation to patients 12 years of age through the lifespan
  • Subscribe to a treatment construct that include the use of controlled substances
  • Demonstrates a patient-first mentality
  • Seeing 12-15 patients daily performing psychiatric evaluations and medication management
  • 1 hour given for psychiatric evaluation
  • 20-30 minutes for follow-ups
  • Working closely with consulting head NP and administration
  • Designing treatment plan for patients suffering from various mental health disorders
  • Documenting notes in Kareo system

This position would require a PMHNP Certification. New Graduates only.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • a master's degree in nursing with a PMHNP-BC;
  • a current NP license in DC;
  • a strong understanding behavioral and mood disorders;
  • a strong understanding of child development and the use of technology;
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • excellent interpersonal skills;
  • the ability to work independently and as part of a team;;
  • a commitment to professional development and ongoing education;
  • an interest in developing and implementing community-based programs that promote healthy behaviors;
  • a commitment to providing high quality services using evidence-based practices.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
