  • We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Patient Service Representative to join our growing team in-office. This part-time position (Wednesday - Friday, 9 : 30 am - 5 : 30 pm) is critical to our healthcare practice's success. You will be responsible for scheduling patient appointments across various departments, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Schedule patient appointments accurately and efficiently across multiple specialty departments using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
    • Collect patient demographics and insurance information.
    • Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers regarding appointment scheduling and any necessary changes.
    • Manage appointment requests, cancellations, and rescheduling requests in a timely and professional manner.
    • Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorizations when required.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within the EHR system.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant HIPAA regulations and data privacy standards.
    • Provide excellent customer service to patients and colleagues.
    • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
    • Qualifications

    • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
    • 1-2 years of experience in medical scheduling or a related role.
    • Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
    • Strong customer service orientation with a focus on patient satisfaction.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
    • Strong work ethic and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
